Today, Ivan from Youth Design came to visit the office where Joe and I were ready to meet him and show him around. Ivan and Joe said hello to each other and then we just talked about what I was up to here at Leers Weinzapfel Associates. We told Ivan about all the things that I was up to and all the different sites that I’ve seen so far. I have gone to see the Taunton Courthouse, the Dudley Police Station, Temple Israel, and the MIT Media Lab. We also told him about the things that I have been doing here in the office, like filing files, sketch-up models on the computer, and my blog. Then we showed Ivan around (which didn’t take long because it is a one room office) but we explained what everything is and how everybody works. Then Joe left us alone so we could talk to ourselves. I showed Ivan how my t-shirt design was coming along and how George Restrepo (my Visual Art Director) is always helping me with everything that I am doing with my t-shirt. Then Ivan just needed to take a few pictures of me (even one with a hardhat on) and he said his goodbyes (with a friendly reminder about tomorrow’s workshop) and headed out. I thought it was going to be more intimidating that Youth Design was going to come to the office, but I was really glad to see them (or at least Ivan) come and see what I do here, and how much I really like it here!!!

Thanks to our Youth Design mentor Joe Pryse!
