Uses for the Youth Design Studio include:
• Students train for their workplace internships using Lynda.com, the professional industry-leading online computer skills learning system, which enables us to tailor individual training plans for specific students in response to the needs and preferences of their particular workplace mentors.
• The Studio provides a welcoming environment for Youth Design students and alumni who are still in high school or even in college to work on homework and/or their own creative projects where they can get input and advice from creative peers and Youth Design staff.
• Small groups of students are employed to work on paying client projects together under the leadership of professional designer volunteers.
