Every day, each of us wakes up with our own set of views and concerns about our lives, community, society, and the world around us. We believe that Youth Designers have something important to share and the talent to translate ideas about personal and social issues that they care about.
The "Take Action" Design Competition provides Youth Designers with the opportunity to develop creative work related to a social issue that resonates with them personally. Youth Designers benefit from a second mentoring relationship through their collaboration with Virtual Art Directors. These leading design professionals from across the country help Youth Designers develop their concepts by providing insights and direction through digital platforms. Winning entries are produced and distributed to the public.
The entire process is mediated by Mark and Nikki Feldman of Cause Consulting (pictured above), who guide Youth Designers through the identification of their values and lead conversations about the power and responsiblity designers have in society.
